The Tides of History was founded in May 2017, to try and make some sense of the current political landscape and how we ended up where we are today.

Its purpose is to;

  • Bring all those interested in Labour’s history to one place
  • Provide a platform for  amateur and professional historians to write and discuss with like-minded enthusiasts.
  • Defend and promote Labour’s record in Government, from Attlee to Wilson, right through to Blair and Brown.

This site is very much a shared experience. We can only be as strong as our readership and following online. Please share any contact that you find interesting.

Each month we will review a newly published book that focusses on the Labour party. If you would like your book reviewed on the site, please message to arrange.

If you are interested in writing for the site, please contact me via email. Any contribution to the debate is welcome – whether you’re a diehard Bennite, Blairite or Corbynista.
